Zerenda's Crown

Today only used for ceremonial purposes and otherwise kept on display in the Palace of Saratheas this crown forged by none other but Stendell Shieldheart out of the metals from the destroyed city gates of Beldran, Canwyl, and Saratheas. A symbol of Assadin rule and victory Zerenda had commissioned it after Saratheas had been taken over, and wore it from his first to his last day on the Sarathean throne.

Manufacturing process

Zerenda decided to commission a crown from Stendell Shieldheart, the most famous Assadin blacksmith at the time, to celebrate his victories all across Ivendarea, most recently the conquering of Saratheas. Stendell Shieldheart had played his part in the construction of several of Zerenda's war machines so far as well, so the two already knew each other, and Zerenda would have trusted none other to create this crown for him.   The pieces from the various city gates were heated up and intertwined, artfully shaped into a rough and wild but at the same time majestic and graceful looking crown. Worthy of a warlord and king like Zerenda.

Significance

While it is nowadays only used for ceremonial purposes such as coronations, weddings, and meetings with foreign leaders, the crown symbolizes for many the end of the old and beginning of the new Ivendarea.

The crown was created from three different pieces of metal collected by Zerenda himself: bronze from the gate of Beldran, white gold from the gate of Canwyl, and iron from the gate of Saratheas.   All three metals originate from various mines located in the Skyreach Mountains and are held together by more white gold found near Stendell.
