Yellow nautinake
Known as the bicolor nautinake, flared nautinake, chambered nautinake, or yellow nautinake, this animal has a wide-spread distribution in the Itoran oceans. They are striking in appearance, with long waving shells patterned in eye-catching white, black, red, and yellow. It is these shells, which warn other animals of their venom, that makes them so alluring to humans and dragons alike. After all, who can resist the beauty of these brightly contrasting colors, or the nacreous coating inside the shell?
Basic Information
Ecology and Habitats
Pelagic animals, these nautinakes are found in the open oceans, where they travel between depths as time passes. They are predators and scavengers, feeding on detritus and carrion if given, but also hunting when they come across prey, or if there is little to be found via scavenging.
