Lepidant Cadeaunum

Rules and regulations get drafted in Lepidant Cadeaunum. The documents are passed through the other two major guilds for unanimous approval before being announced to all of Itermande as law.
Laws & Rule Making
Specific groups in Lepidant Cadeaunum called councils are responsible for the drafting of propositions, otherwise known as potential Itermande laws. These documents are worked on by multiple scholars of suitable backgrounds to accurately represent and detail the goal and intentions of the proposition's creator. Anyone can draft a proposition, but those that come from outside the guild hardly reach the point of being worked on by a Council of Proposition. Outside proposals are sorted based on necessity and preemptive thoroughness; the more detailed and well researched it is, the more likely the draft will move up in the selection process. A draft then gets assigned to a council to be picked apart, revised, and polished into a more generally acceptable document. This rather arduous process gives the proposal a greater chance of not being overlooked or rejected by the Council of Lepidant. After this stage, it is either approved and turned into a law, or it is rejected to either wither away to time or be revised and submitted again. Tradition states that future laws, upon being approved by the Council of Lepidant, are then sent to the leading parties of both Corporis Viribante and Intouter Ominase. However, the leadership of both guilds trust that the Council will act in their best interest and pay hardly any attention to the documents they grace with their signature of approval. It serves as a formality now, but if anything ever looks questionable, the other leaders have full access and rights to read through and critique or reject the proposition.Guild Admission Standards
The most common way to be admitted into Lepidant Cadeaunum is with a letter of recommendation from an established scholar. By having a member with an extensive reputation vouch for another's ability and dedication to the core skills and values of the guild, admission is guaranteed. Without a letter of recommendation, most people who seek to join the guild go through a rigorous set of exams to test general knowledge, including specific sets of questions related to history, literature, arithmetic, and natural laws. Based on the results of this set of testing, candidates are either rejected due to insufficient scoring, or they are moved onto a specialized set of tests to best determine their strengths and weaknesses, narrowing down the role they will have within the guild's ranks. In the second round of testing, candidates are also given a Ley Line Aptitude test. Not having sufficient ability to tap into the energy of the world will automatically reject any candidate, no matter how well they scored on other methods of testing. Those that score high everywhere except with Ley Line energy are usually considered for other jobs, particularly in fields of common research, with acknowledgement from the guild. This alone is enough of a motivator for people to try and become a member as it carries a better pay than if they were to go into the same field without the acknowledgement.Duties of the Guild Members
Councils of Proposition
Members of the guild that work to sort through and revise proposed laws often score higher in the categories of history and natural law during examination. When a new member to the guild is assigned to working in the lawmaking section of Lepidant Cadeaunum, they begin at the lowest rank with sorting propositions to send to a Council of Proposition. They will eventually be promoted to working on a council to revise and produce polished drafts, and that is where most members end their careers. Rarely will a position open in the Council of Lepidant for further promotion.Important Figures
