A creation myth

Within the void

The family of Isla floated through the darkness on a canoe collecting the embers of the before times as they traveled. The children, Lutana, Zyrrah, Vandana, and Saylor, were playing with the jar of embers accidentally knocking them overboard. Lutana, Zyrrah, and Saylor fell into the great expanse and was swept into the nothing. The embers dotting everywhere with their small lights allowing Isla to see and lasso her three children. Isla grew eating the canoe in her grief and tied the rope about herself as the current swept the trio around her.

Vandana grew cold and made fire hoping to get warm and help her lost siblings back home. Vandana fell asleep and rolled into the fire. Vandana woke and jumped to get away from the fire floating far away from her mother. She found the other end of the lasso endlessly circling her mother opposite of the other three bright and radiant in the void trying to pull all closer but the current is too strong.

Dawn of the oceans

Isla's grief and lonelyness made her restless and tear into her skin. The flakes grew into giants that grew crowded on Isla's back. Her grief grew and tears flowed and encompassed Isla in a tight hug. Each of her children moved around her and the lasso would cause the water to flow with her children. The giants grew scales and fins to swim in the new oceans sailing in the currents of Isla's tears.

Loss of Saylor

Saylor's rope began to fray and in despiration Isla pulled them close and their siblings ropes rended Saylor's body apart and began floating atop Isla's tears. Isla's wails blew over her waters and she held her child tight pushing up great mountains and in some places causing red rents of anger well through her. She cut her hair and throw it to the skys were clouds formed and brought life to Saylor's body growing green and lush. Some giants crawled upon the new land but could not breath but from their ribs arose smaller creatures that would be the different tribes of Isla. The fingernails and thumbnails became the many animals on land. Isla calmed content to have at least one of her children close and feel the pull of her other beloved.

If there are simlarities to your beliefs, please let the creator know and it will be altered to not be disrespectful. The story is meant for entertaining imagination and not sully any sacred beliefs or practices by anyone. Also this is one of many different cultures but many have similar echoes such as the flood, loss of one of the moons, and rib related humanity creation. Many myths were lost after a few too many aggressive control campaigns within the early times of the Empire.
