Istvaan

Thousands of years ago, the world of Istvaan was ruled by Seven Demon Generals (5e devils). By sealing their power into Oni mask they were able to take physical form in our realm and ruled the lower life forms cruelly.   However the act of sealing their powers into these mask was a double edged sword, anchoring them this world but also making them vulnerable. Have many years of enslavement, great heroes rose up and where able to destroy or imprison the Oni bring peace to Istvaan.   The less races great spreading around all over Istvaan creating many nations. A mage guild known as the Clocktower was the first to develop and helped using magic to guide and train these fledgling countries.   Great discoveries of natural magical crystals in the country of Archard further enhanced the development of magical technology. In the early 1650s, small skirmishes broke out and warm become more likely. Until the Country of Cirrus developed a way to artificially manufacture these crystals. And through the clock tower and Cirrus a frail peace was maintain. This peace has enduring for almost 200 years, however darkness seems to be developing in the north and bonds between allies are weakening.
