A planet closer to the center of the Milky Way Istrich used to be a tropical Paradise for the Aviri people who call the planet home, a Millennia ago they were a thriving Magical industrializing people able to defend their planet from many threats however at the Pinnacle of their Golden Age, right as they were nearing Space Travel, a calamity struck their planet, a nebula was formed from a Spectral Anomaly and has been growing ever since covering the planet during the winter months of the northern hemisphere, turning the once paradisaical world into a ball of ice within one winter, luckily every summer half the planet does thaw, however the other half is permanently stuck in a horrid winter with temperatures dropping easily to -200 during storms and usually staying between -90 and -120. This Catastrophe destroyed most of their civilization dumping the survivors into a dark age from which they have yet to return, having so far only reached a Renaissance like period. Within the Renaissance they developed new technology building atop remnants of old and in some cases innovating anew. some of these advancements include helium airships designed to carry heavy loads, derived from earlier Lifters which are specially designed hot air balloons, then they have derived a very recent communication and power system, designed specifically to work in the sub zero temperatures of the Nebula Winter and in some cases even to derive power from the nebula storms.
