Istoria

The world of Istoria is currently in the 8th Oblivion Age. Seven times now the world has tetered on the edge of destruction and survived an Oblivion. Barely.   Much of the world is ignorant of this past, and most of recorded history from before the previous Oblivion Age is lost, but evidence of those times still exists for people brave enough to face the dangers.   At this time much of the world cites "The Oblivion", where some brave heros from the last age rallied most of the known world in a fight for survival against some horrible threat that nearly destoryed everything. It's now been hundreds of years since. Civilization has had time to build back up, and the story has become just that, a story.   Tears in the fabric of reality now exist all over the world. These tears are called Echos, and are a symptom of the injuries Istoria has sustained. On its last legs, the world might not be able to survive another Oblivion.   Out there, somewhere, the Oblivon Artefacts exist as their own form of Echo. Each one is a memento from a previous age, and very dangerous. These Artefacts are now resurfacing.
