Myth of the Tia Lakes
The lakes also known as the eye of the goddess was not always there. Before the Empire, before the kingdom, and before the Pentachroma Temple, there was nothing but the hills that dotted the region.
The hill lands were filled with many tribes each fighting for the control of the top of the hills for many years with each tribe losing the hill they gave up one that they already owed. This is how it was until one day a young woman called Tia received a vision from her dreams. She felt called to a land far to the south where she saw a means to bring peace to the hills.
Her vision leads her through the wandering hills of her homeland until she stumbled upon a red dragon. The dragon stared at her, and threaten to eat her unless she proved to it her passion. Tia sang about her home and her desire to unite her people. The red dragon was moved by her song and did not eat her but instead pointed her towards the next location within her vision.
She continued her travel until she came to a large desert and wandered it for some time until she found an oasis. She was parched but the oasis was protected by a blue dragon. Like the red one before it threatened to eat her unless she could prove her cunning. She thought about it and told of her charming of the red dragon and it chuckled at this and decided not to eat her and gave her the water. The blue dragon then pointed her to her next destination.
Tia traveled until she came to a thick mire that threatens to devour her. She found a path that wandered through and she came to a fallen log to let her cross but a black dragon blocked the path. It too threatens to eat her unless she could prove her ambition. She again spoke of the desire to unite the different tribes under one tribe which left the black dragon laughing at such absurd ambition to achieve. It let Tia pass and pointed her to the next location in her vision.
As she traveled Tia then came upon a cold mountain which threatened to freeze her but she pushed on through the pass until she came upon a white dragon, who like the dragons before, threatened to eat her unless she could prove her Ferocity to it. She spoke of her journey thus far, and her passing through the cold to help her people. The white dragon saw her fierce eyes and agreed to let her pass and pointed her to the last location in her vision.
Tia came to a large sprawling woods and journeyed to the dark center of the forest where she saw a green dragon slumbering in a glade. As she drew close the dragon awoke and saw that she arrived asked her why should it not eat her. Tia spoke of her journey and desire to unite her people and in her vision saw her reshaping the land to have her people unite on a single hill. She spoke of her vision of shaping for large water to fill the land, which would provide untold prosperity for them. Tia said that if she were allowed to live and be granted the tool to make her vision come true she would name the waters after the dragons that helped her in this journey. Being ever so vain the green dragon agreed and gave her a specter of five dragon heads. The dragon took Tia back to the hill land and with the specter used fire, lightning, ice, and acid to shape the land as her vision had shown her.
Indeed everything she spoke of came true and her people became united. To this day the lakes do bring prosperity, unite us, and we call the lakes Tia's to remember her desire to bring us all together.
