Session VI: The Message Report
General Summary
L, Nerdle, and Charlie return to Streamsteel to round up the troublemakers, Arlo and Elel. When they get there, they're already piss drunk. L apologizes to the innkeeper for their trouble, and drags them out of the inn, promptly knocking them out. L and Charlie drag the bodies to the inn in Blackwalk, where they take a rest free of charge. They wake up, the drunkards hung over, asking what happened. L explains that they need to go to the castle to claim their rewards for defeating the orc threat. So, the party walks the drunkards to the castle to make sure they don't cause any trouble on their way to the castle. The party greets Mark Allis once again, and notice he's slightly on edge. Arlo asks for a cool looking helmet, and Elel justs asks for the second coolest thing in the treasury. Mark gives Arlo a helmet that once belonged to an old guard, and gives Elel a mysterious staff. He then quickly ushers the party out the door. The party discusses his odd behavior, and decide to perform some espionage. Just as they decide this, a man runs out of the castle, bumping into Arlo. Arlo asks what he was doing in there. He apologizes, explains that he had to give the king an important message. He then says that he's late on deliveries, and runs off. They ask a guard outside the castle if they may take a tour, and he obliges. L and Nerdle sneak off to the bathroom, where L changes into a spider. Nerdle carries him to a door where shouting can be heard. L crawls under the gap of the door, and is presented with a mysterious man with a mustache yelling at Mark. They seem to be discussing that the orc threat may not be dealt with. The mustached man suddenly notices L and looks for something to kill the spider. L quickly darts out of the room. The party regroup outside the castle and discuss what L heard. They decide that returning to Streamsteel to check out affairs may be a good idea.
