Merchants

Idea of tiers sugguested by Asyn.
Merchants on Isles Above are ranked from tiers. When first starting out, merchants get a select range of items they can sell but the types of items are always different thanks to RNG. The higher tiers allow more selection, allowing rare items to be sold. These items are to be sold only IC, not in the site's shop, allowing your character to gamble through their profits or make a killing.   To reach the higher tiers, your merchant will need to reach the amount of IC posts trading or selling successfully with other people's characters, not your own. Sometimes, some items will have to be gained from explorers or pirates, whom you can commission as well to get the items but they can doublecross you if the profit is big.

  • Tier 1 - Peddler - Automatically given on joining.
  • Tier 2 - Vendor - 10 IC successful of either trade or sell to another character.
  • Tier 3 - Broker - 20 IC successful of either trade or sell to another character.

Setting up Shop

Merchants can pull vending carts and set up their own prices by making a thread and selling their wares alongside other merchants or near an entrance to get away from the competition and be the first one to be seen.   In the isles, where the land floats, merchants must go through portals to get where they wish to go unless their vending cart has been enchanted. To enchant your cart, one must go either to a high mage of wind magic or go to the King himself.

Payment & Reimbursement

Payment is received by whomever buys their items IC only.

Other Benefits

Travel anywhere with passes to various domains that your character must remember to wear when first entering else the knights and onlookers will view you suspicious. Better keep that reputation!
