Gondonama

Gondonama are the most sought after, and expensive form of small scale transportation. They are typically used for tours or for romantic excursions. They are essentially gondolas pulled by Nama (giant psychic catfish). In these cases, the catfish are capable of their psychic abilities, but have been heavily conditioned out of their hostility, resulting in a generally very safe and fantastic experience.   The Nama use their telepathic and empathic abilities to project both information and emotion into the minds of their clients. Tours around cities are flourished with epic and detailed histories where the riders get to see the battles and masterpieces of the past evolving around them as if they were there. Romantic trips can feel as if the world was a stage built for their love.   Because the Nama used for this have to be incredibly tame and talented in their powers, very few are able to qualify for these positions, which leads to a high price for the service. It is a very hefty cost, especially for the average worker. Many people will not experience a Gondonama ride in their lifetime. A typical Gondonama trip is two hours and each boat suits 1-8 passengers, as well as the Nama Trainer.   The Gondonama were created by the military partially as a source of income, but also to keep their history alive. Because of this, the information from the Gondonama tends to be slightly biased towards the military, showing them as heroes even during times when they made their mistakes. They are a definite tourist attraction, and the military does occasionally have raffles that allow those who are not as financially endowed to get access to a trip. Also, on special years, the military will treat graduating classes to a Gondonama trip.   Most major cities have them, but especially the canal based ones. They originated from Strayfin, the capital of Nama Training.
