The Recipe Book of the Telkathir

While the Telkathir do not invest in magic like their Ellavarian brethren, they do believe that there is some kind of magic in food and cooking. The Telkathir apart from being known for their brutality, they are also known for their savory and spicy cooking. The perfect meal for a Telkathir is a piece of protein, preferably red meat, served with a variety of spices, buttered and light pan fried bread, a hearty vegetable like a potato, and a glass of hard spirit or nutritious beverage like milk or juice. If one is to go to Telka, be not surprised if mostly everything is covered by spices and different seasonings. For the Telkathir believe that these spices and seasonings, apart from the nutrition of the hearty foods, give a boost to one's stamina and overall fortitude in battle. This book contains a guide to each and every spice with how it should be used and other uses it has other than food. There is an entire section of different types of breads including bread made from corn and, the national delicacy, potato bread. There is also an entire section on meats going into detail about the different cuts, preparation types, the best spirits to pair with each meat (be it for drinking alongside or for cooking with said meat). There is also a small section on vegetables. This is not because of the fact the Telkathir despise vegetables but it is for the main reason that not many vegetables grow in Telka because it is a barren desert. But the vegetables that they can grow and the ones that they covet are potatoes, carrots, turnips, and other ground vegetables because they are able to grow in the near barren ground. The last section is one that covers various desserts. Most of these desserts are very dairy rich. To name a few; ice cream, custards, pound cakes, hot chocolates, puddings, sweet breads, and brownies.
