Rat

Personality:

Rats are inquisitive and clever, though they live in large communities, rats are relatively self-reliant. They may live with a few close family members, but they like to have space. Rats tend to be much braver than their smaller mouse cousins and have no problem facing down a threat if a safe retreat is not a good option. Rats are the smallest of the prey species willing to fight back when faced with a predator.

Physical Description:

Rats never get longer than 10 inches with an 8 inch tail and rarely weigh more than a pound. They, like mice, can walked pretty easily on their hind legs, but will always choose quadrupedal movement if speed is a necessity. Rats don't care for much physical adornment, but they do love capes and hats and will use any excuse to wear them.

Relations:

Rats have good relationships with almost all the other prey species and even have treaties with a few of the cat families living in Chiron and Eufala. Rats pack bond easily with most species, though they tend to keep predators at arms length until trust can be build.
