Ilokka

Ilokka is the capital city of Tracheor and the home of Queen Nymez. Ilokka is not the largest city in Tracheor, but it is the most important.

Demographics

Despite its relative small size, Ilokka is the most diverse city in Tracheor. Its proximity to the queen means it is the most orderly city in Tracheor, and thus the safest for even pray animals of Tracheor.

Government

Members of all the majority races are commanded to hold positions of authority in Ilokka by order of Queen Nymez. The capital guards are required to have even numbers of prey and predator species to keep the peace and the laws in Ilokka. The guards are tiered with senior individuals holding the most power and reporting directly to the Queen's bodyguard who reports directly to her. Nymez herself spends most of her day reviewing laws and complaints or suggestions regarding them.

Defences

The significant size of the Ironclad union within the Ilokka territory, and their relative freedom with creation gives Ilokka a wall just short enough for large cats to leap over but tall enough to slow an invading ground force with projectiles for any aerial force. Though Nymez expects no dangers, neither does she protest any time a new weapon or defense is tested and put into effect.

Industry & Trade

Ilokka is a hub for trade of goods and skills. Ilokka's centralized location makes it an easy point for anyone in Tracheor to go to or stop by on their way elsewhere and thus makes it easy to find someone else looking to trade.

Infrastructure

Like its diversity in population, Ilokka has the most diverse infrastructure. While the buildings are mostly assembled by monkeys and occasionally bears, they are designed by anyone with an interesting enough concept to grab a builders attention. As such, Ilokka has the least consistency in architecture of any settlement in Tracheor.

Assets

There is an enormous Ironclad presence in Ilokka, welcomed by the Queen herself, they are encouraged to keep their more dangerous crafting to the outskirts to prevent harm accidentally befalling the other citizens, but they are mostly allowed free reign on what they make.

Guilds and Factions

Unlike almost every other settlement, Ilokka is considered exclusively the territory of Queen Nymez, no other large cat family is considered to have territory there despite the nursery. The only families that consider themselves to have proper territories within the boarders of Ilokka are the small cats.

Geography

Ilokka is located in the largest, flattest part of Tracheor.

Natural Resources

Despite having any rivers or streams, there exists a large underground aquifer. The queen before Nymez bartered with the leader of Diggery to create wells throughout the city. This allowed the city to become an oasis in the otherwise dry plains of Tracheor.
