Runed Military All-Terrain Vehicle

Brief

Used in military projects and the like, the Runed Military All-Terrain Vehicle (often referred to as RMATV) are an upgrade to the regular Military grade All-Terrain Vehicles. These uncommon tools are considered boosters to the military's units and are not used unless in special cases. They aren't used in direct combat, but are used to carry people to various points in a battlefield.

Differences

Runed

Runed RMATVs have a group of runes used to help make them even more sturdy and efficient than their non runed counterparts.   Strength, Protection and Speed are some of the RMATV's main arsenal, though not all of it is shared to the public to avoid giving enemies an advantage.

Unruned

Unruned MATVs are considered more frail to the whims of Mana and magic, and often down have runes or spells attached to avoid becoming overwhelmed by magic users.

The Runes

Strength

Used to reinforce the metal plating and more vulnerable pieces of the vehicle to ensure it can reach its destination without too much damage.

Protection

A general protection rune, used as a second shell of protection. It is an invisible barrier, that typically can brush off one strong physical or magical impact.

Speed

Upon activation, a speed rune will bolster the machine's default speed. This is used in emergency situations, a way to quickly get out of a situation that is turning sour.

"Put the damn top down, it's raining!" A soldier raised their arm, trying to cover themselves from the heavy rain that buffeted down on them. They grimaced, water getting into their eyes.   "By the time we stop, pull it down, and get going again, we'd have gotten there already! Just suck it up." The driver scowled, wiping at their brow. The muddy terrain rocked the machine back and forth in the ruts caused by other RMATVs that had come by.   "Can't we use the Speed Rune?" Another asked, rocking back and forth in the back, grabbing onto a support to keep themselves in the car.   "No, it takes an hour to recharge. Just deal with it!"
