Nova Sauda

Brief

Nova Sauda is a Forest Bloodkeeper and is the single son to Estella and Rasheed Sauda. He left his home as a young adult after the loss of his fiancee Jillian. He speaks little of the event, but will blatantly tell others it was a hate crime. As a result of this event in his life he is a very closed off individual and people find it difficult to get him to open up. However, once he sees you as a friend he is fiercely protective, and his harsh demeanor fades.
Nova is stubborn to a fault, and when he sets his mind to something, he can be seen tackling it head on. He is prone to anger, but is aware that it reads into Human stereotypes of Bloodkeepers. He sometimes uses these to his advantage as part of the security detail of Penumbra to put on an intimidating, feral air, only to laugh at people's fear after.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Nova is considered feminine by Bloodkeeper standards; with ears slightly larger than average and a thicker tail. These differences aren't very noticeable if you're unfamiliar with bloodkeepers however, so he usually only gets flack from others of his species.
Underneath all the fur is dense muscle, which lends Nova an advantage with his role as security in Penumbra. His build could be compared to a swimmers', with wide shoulders and a very tapered torso.

Nova would likely play into human stereotypes that Bloodkeepers are all big dumb animals to his advantage in any jobs where he needs brute strength, when in reality he was a very curious child. Nova is very book smart and survival ready--however he's not very people smart and often says the wrong things. Many often consider him inconsiderate and uncouth.
He currently is hiding the fact he's taking night classes for various things when he's not working, in an attempt to gain more human-centric education.

Employment

When Nova moved away from home, job opportunities were not fantastic for bloodkeepers, due to the tensions involving The Bloodkeeper-Human War. He was stuck working manual labour and while it was a good way to deal with his aggression, Nova felt like he was stuck in dead end jobs. He eventually saw ads for Penumbra, which was seeking security officers. With research, he learned that the company had hired other bloodkeepers, like Tay Eszah.
He applied, and was able to work his way up the ranks; Nova now works at Penumbra as the head of Caretakers.
