Knight Hunt

Cup & Ball Game

Brief

A game involving a handful of people in a game of chance as well as entertainment. Primarily used as a way for lower class persons to gain Hars, but also became a parlor trick when played solely by the upper-class.

"Now, when in Port Lautaganan you want to be careful in the...Seedier parts of town," my host family told me, and I did my best to listen and understand their common. "Being a... Bloodkeeper means most people may be wary of you and as rude as it may sound, you may want to use that to your advantage." My ears flicked back. "Oh, and Misae?" The Father of the host family spoke up. "Don't let anyone convince you to play Knight Hunt."   "Knight Hunt?" I echoed, voice grumbling. "What's that?"   "It's a game. A scam. They'll take your hard earned Hars and run with them. If you see three cups, a single person and a small little ball? You turn the other way."

How to Play

The main draw of the game is to guess which cup a small object is under. This small object could be anything: A coin, a scrap metal sphere, an earring; it doesn't matter. The Dragon will attempt to trick the Knight, and with slight of hand and a silver tongue to distract they move the cups around for an indefinite amount of time. When finished, it's the Knight's job to now guess where the Hoard is.
