Elsterförde
"Huddle up close, my little one - for the sky darkens, vanish the sun. The brave knights shall bear arms and protect us all, through peril, through harm. Close your eyes, breathe deep, this worry will flash. For we'll all be remembered, for the Day of Ash."The Day of Ash by Circe Jafett
Elsterförde, formerly dubbed The Last Bastion of the North. When the capital of Isenwalt was moved up north to the city of Himmelstern, Elsterförde almost immediately began to be constructed as if shadowing its much greater capital. Elsterförde was once thought of as a seed for great talent as many great minor and major houses were known for breeding various great minds that still live today, however, not many that is. The destruction of Elsterförde, otherwise known as The Day of Ash would cement itself firmly in Isenwalt's modern history, some attributing that day as the very catalyst of the Coward's War. Some still sing tales of the Pierced Drake, the being that was believed to have burned down the entirety of the city of Elsterförde for no good reason which many take as a way to doubt the existence of the Drake. Nonetheless this once great city now sits as mere ruins, a permanent reminder that terror may still lurk within the north.
