UNSF Linear Fusion Drives

The Primary Drive technology of the United Nations Space Force, these are very divergent from the standard power tokomak. However, they are frighteningly efficient, with proper design, they only dump 0.01% of their generated power as heat into the ship, and can keep nearly 98% of the exhaust velocity of the fuel. They are far harder to tap for power, however, and tend to be multiple hundres of meters long. As such, smaller ships just use standard tokomaks.

Access & Availability

Really only the UN has access to these. A few small test versions have been seen around the solar system, mostly in the PDRMN, where efficiency is important, but the large scale make them difficult to use, and only the UNSF can really maintain enough ships to actually justify the expense.
