ESA suit

An ESA (Extra-Settlement Activity) is an extremely common form of pressure suit on Mars. It is not a full vacuum suit, though it would be able to function as one for a short time. It is a pressure based garment, with suit warmers sewn in, haptic linkages and a full breathing mix supply system. It ensures that the body keeps pressure, while allowing fro a full range of movement for the person operating them. While the majority of Martians now do not own their own ESA suit, it was once nearly mandatory. Each one is tailored to the individual person, and can support them for around 2 hours without additional equipment, but common modifications can increase that to up to 48 hours for some hyper-long range models with backpacks.
It has very little use outside of Mars. A few Venusians use them, if they are operating outside of the acid proof bubbles, and can be used for brief stints on the surface of airless bodies. However, only mars ever had a culture of going outside.
