Soothsayer Shiloh Curio

Shiloh Curio is a young warlock with a crystal ball. They were well respected among the Frohesblatt people for their Divination talents, as well as their ability to provide wisdom to anyone who needed it. This place of social standing earned them the title of Soothsayer, which the village still uses. Shiloh was encouraged to make a pact with The Maiden of Solstice as part of a village tradition.
When The Maiden of Solstice grew angry with Shiloh for neglecting the lifestyle of a hunter, she began to take Shiloh's friends and family as collateral. Shiloh, being wholly unhappy with this arrangement, began looking for ways to end the pact.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Shiloh has a thin frame and an inexplicable spring in their step. They are neither muscular nor frail, and they walk with a carefree and jovial posture.

Body Features

Like most Feyfolken Tieflings, Shiloh has a pair of deer antlers protruding from their head. This makes wearing hats and hoods very inconvenient.

Facial Features

Shiloh's face is smooth and friendly, with a pair of wide and starry eyes that seem to soak in the world like a dry sponge. Shiloh's nose is small, round, and button-like, and their ears are just barely larger than you'd expect. Shiloh's ears and nose occasionally twitch like those belonging to a woodland animal, but are otherwise unremarkable in their normalcy.

Identifying Characteristics

Shiloh has a pair of Deer Antlers that often have leaves impaled on them. They also have a subtle pair of green eyes.

Physical quirks

Shiloh has extremely fluffy and dirty blond hair. They also tend to gnaw on things when they're bored, and often fiddle with objects in the environment.

Special abilities

Shiloh has a highly above-average sense of hearing and smell, comparable to a dog's. Although their eyes are indistinguishable from a human's, Shiloh is very perceptive.

Apparel & Accessories

Shiloh wears a leather cowl that wasn't designed for a person with horns, as well as an off-white shirt that extends down to the knees, but it's tied to firmly by the waist with a belt. They also wear a pair of baggy pants and a pair of hard-sole moccasins.

Shiloh has virtually no education. Their knowledge of Warlock magic and Divination are largely self taught with small but noteworthy input from other members of their community.

Employment

Shiloh was "employed" in their home as a Soothsayer - who would break up disputes and dispense valuable advice, as well as tell the future. They would occationally carve and draw, but largely focused their talents on dispensing advice.
They are currently unemployed, and are struggling to understand the finer details of commerce outside a barter system.

Shiloh has a reputation for being very ignorant of modern society, which is entirely accurate.

Mental Trauma

Shiloh's bond with their patron, The Maiden of Solstice, is very strained. A number of patron-related disappearances in their home has given Shiloh an unusual fear of forests that boarders on utter terror.

Intellectual Characteristics

Shiloh is not the brightest crayon in the shed. They make up for this complete lack of intellect by being very perceptive! They're also very nosy, which is very much at odds with the world at large.

Shiloh believes that every person's skills are best used to benefit others, and everyone has a skill or talent to share with the world! They also firmly believe that not only are there many gods in the world, but they speak to us in mysterious ways if you only look hard enough.

Shiloh will preform a number of rituals during their downtime, including prayer, lighting incense, decorating, cleaning, and counting their fingers. They do this because at any time, the Maiden of Solstice could reach out from the woods and whisk them away, never to be seen again. Any protection from this eventuality is welcomed and embraced.

Motivation

Shiloh is very interested in not being killed, eaten, dismembered, or otherwise hurt by the Maiden of Solstice. However, they have also taken this time to travel the world and indulge their relentless wanderlust and boundless curiosity. They hope that by learning new things and seeing new sights, they can understand the world even more.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Shiloh is completely uneducated, and has never even heard of the modern world in it's current state. Although Shiloh is surprisingly adept at fitting in just well enough to get by, continued interaction shatters the illusion that they understand the culture. This unfamiliar landscape gives Shiloh a strong sense of anxiety.
They're surprisingly good at cooking food, producing medicine, and reciting ancient stories and religious tales!
