Beasts
Beasts are nonhumanoid creatures. Some of them have magical powers, but most are unintelligent and lack any society or language. Beasts include all varieties of ordinary animals, dinosaurs, and giant versions of animals.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Beasts can take a number of forms, and are commonly referred to as "animals". Most having fur, feathered, or thick hides and thick layers of blubber.
Genetics and Reproduction
Beasts reproduce sexually, through the fertilization of eggs.
Growth Rate & Stages
Beasts mature at varying rates, and in varying stages. Insects living much less than whales, but usually having more stages of life.
Ecology and Habitats
Beasts exist in every corner of the realm. Cold and lifeless, or humid and vibrant.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Beasts need to consume either flora or fauna, meat or plants. Usually it is one or the other, but some consume both.
Biological Cycle
Beasts experience many biological cycles, some shed fur and hair, others hibernate, some grow new horns, and some don't experience any change except for growth. In the end they all die from the passing of time.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Most have eyes, ears, and noses; some using one sense more than the others. Some beasts have magical capabilities that they use to perceive the world around them.
