The Nightwatch
Ever attentive to the evils brought into the world, the Nightwatch seeks to purge the world of evil. They carry their weapons in pocket dimensions, the strings they carry not only act as size-changing taser whips but when spun in a circle, they form a portal to a large room inside.
Structure
The Nightwatch is fairly simple compared to the Skyguard. They're rank is defined by his much experience they have. When someone joins them, they are a trainee for the first three years, then they become an acolyte and are allowed to go on missions, after their fifth mission they go to be a full member, after five hundred years of service, they are elders and lead the faction with the others, if they live another three hundred years they are sages, these are extremely well respected, and almost as old.
Relations:
To the Earthshakers: They believe the Earthshakers to be naive glory seekers who must not be able to obtain their goal, else the evils of the world would destroy it like all the rest. There are several of the Nightwatch who would kill and Earthshaker on sight to prevent this.
To the Skyguard: there are mixed opinions for the Skywatchers. Some say they are corrupt as evidenced by their softness for it. Others simply say, "They started it."
Assets
As the dimension doors continue to drop out weapons and tools, the Nightwatch gains resources. Members will distribute tools fairly with each other, and store them in their own pocket dimensions. Gateways to these dimensions are opened with the use of Threads. Threads are short, glowing white lines of string. Whoever holds the Thread can change the length with their mind, though doing so requires the wielder to be holding the Thread on the right end and have the proper training to control a thread. When spun just so, the thread will hover where released, and form into a circle, when the circle finishes it becomes a portal to the pocket dimension attuned to that Thread. Though members of the Nightwatch do not need to do this to have a weapon, as the Threads themselves can be used as a whip and even provide an electric shock from the striking end, and just as with all Immortals, they do not even need a weapon to be dangerous.
