It is well known that the Margotians seek to expel the League of Ferric Ventures from the Frontier and cease their mining operations, as the Margotians consider Iron holy and that it should remain in the ground.
History
While many Erukai and Erunur were more than willing to change with the times and join the iron miners of the Ferric League, not all would be so pleased. Those truly faithful to the Pact in Amber found this abandonment of their ideals and way of life horrifying, though found no way to fight against the outsiders, until the call of the Exarch. When Exarch Julivi called for the Erukai to arms and to resist the invaders, tens of thousands rallied around the Amber Banner at Teyeti, signifying the birth of the Margotian Exarchate.
Since then, the Exarchate has waged multiple wars against the invaders, with a major recent victory that they are still capitalizing upon. Most of the time since 82 SA has been spent focusing on the development of the Erukai culture and training their people to resist the invaders in every way possible. To this end, a sub-organization, known as the Brotherhood of Sap, works outside of the Exarchate to undermine the efforts of the invaders, raiding iron shipments, collapsing mines, and other terrorist-esque activities.

Demography and Population
Primarily, the Margotian Exarchate is inhabited by the Erukai ethnicity, which is predominately comprised of the Erunur and Baraki. Some outliers, such as Amrish settlers and a handful of southern nomads are permitted to live within the Exarchate, though due to the Exarchates conflicts with the Ferric League this is limited.
Territories
The Margotian Exarchate lays claim to all of the former lands of the Erunur, though only directly controls a small nation in the upper north-eastern corner of the Great Basin. Recently, after a major break through over the Merius River, the Exarchate was able to take the lands between the Basaria Colony and Cepria Canton, which they have begun to settle.
