Velcyra Davari

Arch-Mage of Necromancy in the Animus order. A powerful necromancer and firm believer in the Animus order. Velcyra may not agree with the methods or ideals of his fellow arch-mages, but he does respect their power and commitment to the order. Although not a priest, Velcyra does pay homage to The Raven Queen.   Velcyra studies the nature of the Undead that inhabit the jungles surrounding The Azure Sanctum in hopes of binding them to the protection of the city. In the course of his duties he stumbled upon an ancient tome penned by Sroxon himself. Using the tomes teachings, Velcyra researched and created a spell that allows him to summon and bind an Undead Pegasus to his will. The first and most fearsome of his creations in this line is his own mount, Grimetooth.   Grimetooth has the base stats of an Undead Pegasus listed below along with the following abilities:   https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/101739-undead-pegasus   Additionally, Grimetooth's gaze functions like a ray of enfeeblement:   Disheartening Gaze (Recharge 5–6). Magical attack: A black beam of enervating energy springs from your finger toward a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target deals only half damage with weapon attacks that use Strength until the spell ends.   At the end of each of the target’s turns, it can make a Constitution saving throw against the spell. On a success, the spell ends.   Level: 2 Necromancy. Range: 60 feet. Duration: 1 minute.
