Kody Davidson

Colonel Kody Leonardo Davidson (service number 21178-00918-KD) is an American serviceman of the United Space Command Marine Corps, in command of the Discovery-class battleship, Blue Dawn. Despite his young age, Kody is quite decorated holding many awards for valor including a Prisoner of War Medal from when he was captured by the Arabic Republic. Kody is a fine officer and solder, however, in 2717, Kody recieved a letter of reprimand in his official record for defying a direct order from a superior officer and unwarrented pursuit of wanted war criminal Antony Burke. The letter of reprimand was later resented after a review board of the USC deemed the circumstances surrounding the letter were not serious enough to warrent a discharge from service.

Attire and personal effects

Commonly, as an officer of the Marine Corps, Kody is often seen in the standard Marine Corps blue dress uniform-A with his service ribbons on the left side of his coat and a nameplate on the right. Shoulder epaulettes with his rank. Kody, wears no cap when on duty unless for formal occasions and mission briefings with his superiors. While in field, Kody wears a special officer's battle dress uniform with a custom variant of the MA45 body armor. Kody commonly favors the B7W Combat Service Rifle with custom grips and a smart-linked scope.

Biography

Early life and education

Kody Leonardo Davidson was born within the UNF colony of Harmony on August 12, 2690 to USC Navy pilots Jacob and Nora Davidson. As a child, Kody was always seen as a quick study and able to learn a variety of skill sets. However, after the deaths of his parents when he was eight, Kody became recursive and withdrawn. He was often getting into trouble in school, and though it was nothing serious, he did find himself in detention more often not. All that changed about midway through middle school when he met the new girl in school who moved into the house next door. Her name was Sarah, and she was the most beautiful girl Kody had ever seen.

Personel life

Commonly, when on personal leave, Kody doesn't really do a whole lot. Mostly he just spends as much time as he can with his daughter, Amy, as she is his whole world. Though, on some occasions, Kody will hang around with some of his teammates unless they are off-world. Sometimes, he'll go to a local arcade or movie theater and just chill; but mostly Kody just likes the quietness of home with his daughter in his arms.

Family, marriage, and relations

Kody is an only child. He was raised by his uncle, Seth, after his parents were killed in a hyperspace explosion. Upon graduating high school, he married the love of his life, Sarah Higgins. Years later, he and Sarah brought a beautiful daughter into the world, Amy Davidson.
Being a Marine officer, Kody has a wide range of contacts. The most known being his fellow Marines and squad mates, Bryon O'Neil and Tyron Jackson. Kody also keeps in regular contact with his former undercover partner, Sergeant Major Taryn Armstrong. Kody is also close friends with the president of the United States and United Nations Federation, Brandon Carter, and Secretary of Defense, Lauren Campbell.

Personality & Traits

Kody is known for his strong and protective personality. He would do anything to keep those he loves safe, especially his daughter Amy. This protectiveness extends to his fellow teammates and crew as well, and he considers them family. Kody is also very disciplined and works hard to maintain his physical and mental strength. As a Marine officer, he believes in leading by example and holds himself to high standards. Despite his serious nature on the battlefield, Kody is actually quite laid back and has a good sense of humor. He often uses sarcasm as a coping mechanism during stressful situations and knows when it's appropriate to let loose and have some fun with his teammates. However, he still maintains a level of professionalism at all times.
Kody is not one to stand on ceremony unless it is necessary in formal situations or when in front of a superior officer. He values honesty, loyalty, and integrity above all else and expects the same from those around him. He can also be quite stubborn at times, but this stems from his determination and dedication to succeed in everything he does. One of Kody's strongest traits is his ability to remain calm under pressure. He is able to think quickly on his feet and come up with solutions even in the most chaotic situations.
Kody also has a compassionate side that he keeps hidden behind his tough exterior. He cares deeply about those around him and will go out of his way to help anyone in need. This compassion extends even towards enemies if they are willing to lay down their weapons. Though Kody may seem like the perfect soldier on the surface, he does have flaws like everyone else. His biggest weakness is his autism. However, he has learned to control this weakness and use it to his advantage, often noticing details others might miss and having an exceptional memory for strategic planning.
