Soli Agriculture
The Solis value efficiency and utility in their culture, viewing science as a tool to improve the quality of life. Everyone is educated and trained to think as a researcher and scientists on some level, everyone from street performers to restaurant managers to an economic theorist. The street performer collects data on the most popular performances, then conducts an analysis of the variables of why- time of day, content of performance, location? The restaurant manager collects feedback from customers, using their preferences to innovate and develop new dishes, different approaches to service and tweaking small pieces of the business until it works flawlessly. The economist studies all economic indicators, keeping a pulse on the values of equity and quality of life, recommending adjustments as necessary.
Food is no different. The farmer and agriculture engineers work in tandem to produce high quality fruits and vegetables. While the Solis understand that many nutrients can be supplemented in artificial forms, the Solis prefer fresh produce, which makes them feel happier, healthier, and more connected to their planet. Social scientists and nutritionists research actual outcomes in control groups with artificial and supplemental vitamins versus whole foods. And while health outcomes were similar, mental health was much higher for while foods, resulting in the Soli commitment to whole food production.
Solis agriculture revolves around maximizing nutritional density, crop durability, and contributions to natural soil and life cycles. Foods are highly genetically modified, resulting in maximum nutritional quality, in particular vitamins and minerals than lend themselves to brain health. A core group of vegetables and fruit remain unmodified, since they are mostly complete nutritional profiles and were essential to Soli development, having a revered spot in Soli culture as symbols of health, happiness, and prosperity. But the vast majority of food is always under an experimental process, as the Solis work to constantly improve everything around them.
