Rhonain Conspiracy Theory

The Rhonians have long been suspicious of the Soli and their relationship with the Tolana. A conspiracy theory among the Rhonians is that the Soli have long been assisting the Tolana in their oppression of the Rhonians, specifically assisting in the genetic manipulation as part of a larger research experiment the Soli were secretly conducting on the Rhonians.     The truth is complicated, as complicated as the relationship between the Tolana and Soli. The two began their relationship with basic trade, the Tolana valuing the Soli’s intellectual resources, the Soli valuing some of the Tolana tech designed around efficiency. The relationship grew to one of diplomatic relations, trading and exchanging ideas and resources. Eventually, the Tolana grew ambitious, invading the Soli.   The Soli fought the Tolana, but the Tolana had built a superior war machine, in part fueled by the Rhonians. The Soli grew fearful of both the Tolana and the Rhonians. They had prepared for this eventuality, however, developing biological weapons to combat the Tolana and any others who would invade the planet. These weapons, however, were still too experimental, and damaged the Soli as well as the Tolana. Eventually, due to damages on both sides, a peace treaty was called, and diplomatic relationships between the Soli and the Tolana were developed with strict regulations to avoid future combat, which neither side wanted. They recognized they would have to co-exist in the galaxy. The Soli secretly sought to contain Tolana power, while the Tolana sought to steal Soli intelligence and research, manipulating it to their own advantage.   When the Rhonians began their revolution, Asterion traveled to Solarium, seeking assistance. The Solis debated, concerned with the strength of the Rhonians and their general resistance to disease, fatigue, and physical. While supporting the Rhonains would undermine Tolana power, they feared that RHonians would grow in power, eventually challenging the Solis. Solis have yet to develop any sort of biological weapon that works against the Rhonians, but the conspiracy theories are right, in that they are trying.
