König Dietrich Giselher Ottokar III
König Dietrich Giselher Ottokar II was a fair king until he met an untimely demise in an industrial accident while touring an ironsmelting facility.
König Dietrich Giselher Ottokar III was immediately pronounced king at the young age of 8 years old and as such Secruia and it's Vassal nations together appointed a series of attendants to help raise him to be a great and noble king like is father, hopefully instilling a sense of honor and loyalty to not only Secruia but also the people of the vassal nations. A Chancellor ruled in his place for ten full years, never once playing to the stereotype of the power hungry usurper, peacefully and honorably turning power over to the young king once he reached 18 years of age.
Upon reaching the throne, König Dietrich Giselher Ottokar III wasted little time in enacting high taxes upon Secruia's vassal states as well as further restricting the local militias that the vassal nations were permitted to hold. This enraged the vassal states and their leaders immediately argued that this new king was overstepping his bounds and was openly and immediately showing his hand as a tyrant.
This dissent quickly boiled over into outright rebellion and for two long years the Secruian military was repeatedly ambushed and out maneuvered by militias and mercenary bands, eventually losing a costly and deeply embarrassing conflict as well as more than half of it's land mass and all of it's vassal nations. The young King now sits upon his throne aided by his loyal chancellor, attendants and a single foreign ally, Bastien Tirasse of Stroida Shaar.
At this point, König Dietrich Giselher Ottokar III has not yet sired an heir to the throne.
