Welcome to the Inner Light campaign setting, a planet with three worlds that are uniquely different. A place where the history comes alive and the future calls. Where heroes create their destiny and villains steal their own. Exotic landscapes, interesting characters to meet, far flung adventures, and creatures that possess your imagination. This is the land of Sphragis, three worlds located on one planet. Unique landscapes where anything can happen and where particular surprises are to be seen by the adventurous. A great and terrible world which will be experienced by you and fellow adventurers. Welcome to the Inner Light campaign series.  

The World of Sphragis

  The three lands of Sphragis are comprised of Alveus, the outside, Inanis, the inside, and Solum, the underground. Comprising of different topography and landscapes that could only be present in this world, these three different landscapes are available to the different adventurers that may come into existence.  

Land of Alveus

The crusade of Akriebastes two thousand years ago has destroyed and killed almost all of the magical creatures. Few of the magical creatures remain and those of them still alive, are dying fast. Humans are the dominant race in Alveus. Countries are separated by the different races and lands of different races of humans as humans are the predominant race in every land. There are a few elves, and dwarves left in the world. The race of elves located in the lands of Alveus are Sun-Elves, the race of dwarves are Shield-Dwarves. There are no half breeds; there are no half-elves or any of mixed blood as any found are killed on site. In the land of Alveus, artifice and technology grow while magic fades. The priesthood is strong and has a powerful influence over politics. The elves have taken upon themselves the duty to keep magic alive, teaching anyone who wants to learn despite the race, gender, or age. Dwarves have come to the mentality that a good defense is the best offence. The dwarves have based their society around defense, the use of shields as weapons, and being an unmovable race.  

Land of Inanis

Humans are a minority and magic is strong. While humans dwindle in numbers, the magical races have increased populations to incredible numbers. There are civilizations of creatures that exist only in Inanis. These include creatures such as Moon-Elves, Sword-Dwarves, Half-Folk, Beast-Men, Orcs, Goblins, Ogres, Saurians, Spider-Spawn, and other wild races. Being on the inside of the world, Inanis has no stars. Cities around the terrain act as stars and navigation in Inanis. In the center of the sky, surrounded by the rest of the world, is the burning sun. There is a casing that covers half of the sun bisecting Inanis into days and nights as the the world revolves around the interior sun.  

Land of Solum

A dark and harsh place where civilizations struggle against the dark. Psionics have taken root and affect all aspects of life. Dark races have built civilizations that have evolved into societies, creating their own cultures. Races include Night-Elves, Cloak-Dwarves, Kobolds, Gremlins, Imps and other evil races. Living in the shell of the world, Solum is a cramped and dark place. Filled with tunnels and random caverns, Solum can easily confuse the unwary and travelers are easily ambushed. Gravity can seem to warp and change depending on location throughout this land. With lightless shafts, dangerous crawlspaces and lurking danger around every turn, inexperienced adventures would want to take care.
