Social Structure

In this time period, humanity has reached a level of peace previously unseen. Crime has dropped, but this is because almost everything is accepted. Drugs, prostitution, you name it. Very little is illegal, and due to it being legal the will to do wrong has been left to the morality of the individual. This has led to a strange unity in humans, with peace coming about from the realization that certain actions will ruin both the individual and others around them, and disrupting the peace is illegal due to the now close-knit nature of humans after the climate change crisis

Humans have often been used by non-normal species, as hosts, symbiotic relationships, and slaves. In this universe humans have achieved peace under strange, uneasy circumstances, and are often exploited by others because of it

There is a generally equal distribution of humans around the multiverse, with their influence primary in the Alpha Timeline/Blackwash. Most are concentrated on Earth in Blackwash, but there are a few throughout the universe

Certain alien species have been found to have symbiotic relationships with them, and demons and spirits have often had different forms of this type of a relationship with them. They're also highly susceptible to phantom jade, with far more violent reactions than other species

Names typically resemble mishmashes of our modern names and those related to nature, as well as purely nature-related names

Beauty ideals have changed drastically over the years, with people preferring to have their "high tech society" reflected in their appearance. Tech-related outfits with themes of nature are also encouraged, and various body modifications have grown popular

Gender Ideals

Gender ideals have more or less dissolved, as most people have little to no concept of gender definition now. Most genders look similar, with men looking slightly more masculine and women looking slightly more feminine, though body mods and mutations can effect this

Courtship Ideals

It's rare that anyone pursues "traditional" courtship now, with marriage being rare and usually not even considered due to the fast paced lives of the individual. If the individuals in a relationship feel they want to "commit" to each other, traditional marriage is an option, but they usually make vows in front of a small group of people and then exchange items to signify their commitment (rings are the most popular still)

Most relationships are short, and the longer ones even then don't last long. Though due to the lack of feeling a need to "commit" publicly, bad relationships are quickly ended while longer ones signify that the individuals involved are "meant to be"

Incredibly advanced on Earth, though human space tech is still rather undeveloped compared to other species. Though after humanity's acceptance into the Intergalactic Union, other species have been happily trading space tech with humans

Most languages other than the most widely used ones (English, Mandarin Chinese, Hindustani, Spanish, and Russian) are only learned out of respect for tradition and the past. Otherwise, almost everyone is bilingual, with everyone speaking English as a "universal language" and then their home country's language is used

Common Etiquette Rules

Politeness and etiquette are somewhat subjective. In casual business it is used by everyone, but with strangers and such it's not as common to see politeness used unless the stranger one is talking to is of a higher rank than them

Common Dress Code

The way humans dress is incredibly subjective, with most old stereotypical clothing ideals having been completely dissolved. Being fashionable is somewhat universally cared about, but only workplaces and boarding schools use dress codes. Most areas don't care what you wear so long as it's tasteful and not complete nudity

After the climate change crisis, humanity has gained a new respect and fondness to nature. Although standard religion is no longer widespread, almost everyone respects nature and views it as sacred and not to be harmed unless absolutely necessary

Reformation Day--Formerly Earth Day, which is now used to celebrate the integration of humanity into nature via festivals (other than that, all celebrations are still the same)

Entering certain old cities/places that refused to accept the nature reforms and were destroyed, harming the natural cycle in any way, unnecessary killing (sport hunting is illegal now due to the need for food conservation), showing disrespect to alien peoples

History

The humans in this story reside in the universe Blackwash, the alias for the Alpha Timeline, which merged with Blackwash coincidentally. This universe has followed our modern events, but is set in the future. Around 2211 humanity's effect on the environment caused drastic climate change, forcing humanity to begin to integrate itself into nature instead of forcing itself upon the world. Technology, which had once kept humanity from evolving, was forced to change as well, mimicking the environment around settlements. This caused humanity to begin to adapt again, evolution once again running its course. But after a series of conflicts over space expansion, genetic modification, and technological advancement, as well as the appearance of the 19%, supernatural creatures began to use this as a cover for integrating into Blackwash once again under the guise of "superheroes." This had become a common profession, spurring the acceptance of evolution and peace under the knowledge that these new "humans," supposedly from other worlds, could bring about a new utopia on Earth.

Many new myths and legends have popped up around the different areas that refused the reforms (destroyed by demons, everyone was eaten alive, etc), and there are almost always joking rumors going about politicians and people in power. There are some myths about aliens that proved to have some truth, but most are false

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Most interspecies relations are rather good, especially with alien species. However, most humans would be skeptical and prejudiced against supernatural creatures should they find out that their new "superhumans" were really things like demons and nymphs in disguise
