Infinite Horizon

The world used to look a lot like ours - adding a bit of magic in the mix- a very technological world. But slowly, the dimensional tissue of the world was wearing thin - until it tore. From there on, "gates" to worlds of demons, monsters, conquerors opened all over the world, bringing on the apocalypse. The world was now a wasteland, blighted and sterile. The Heroine who saved it, a demon from another world with a guilty conscience upon meeting a group of survivors, sealed the gates one by one by sacrificing bits of her soul, until she became the new dimensional tissue itself. There is little records of the world's origin, and that demon all but forgotten. Only a few Ammonyte tribes still worship her as a goddess.   Long, long after the cataclysm, Infinite Horizon was born from the ashes of the old world - and slowly but surely reconstructed around four areas: The Millennium desert, center of magic; Kaerland Empire; Nichirin Empire; and the Ammonytes' Plains.   And now the world goes on forward - bringing its share of conflicts and wonders. While Kearland and Nichirin keep a difficult, fragile peace treaty and seem to be able to fall back into conflict once again, the Desert's diverse oases and the Ammonytes come together against a common threat.
