Than Eledhrim
The Flame Elves, those who dwell by the active volcano, Caraggaer, in Gîlmunrîel. We posses a great ability to wander about the volcano without harm, breathing in toxic fumes which would kill the members of our cousin tribes. Our complexion is considerably darker than those of the other tribes, some would say 'lightly cooked', due to the constant exposure to the heat and lava. That comment makes me laugh though it might have some merit.
Our lungs are adapted to filterer out the harmful gasses that are found around volcanic areas, allowing us to venture down and use the volcano itself to forge weapons and tools, even grow food and heat water for cooking and bathing. Visitors are given special masks so that they can see more easily and breath without issue, which we created specifically so that other Eledhrim could come to our cities for trade and business.
We are the most skilled craftsmen of the Eledhirm and credited with the creation of Dragon-steel and Scale-mail. The active volcano allows us to have a constant, mostly regular heat source for the forges. Our miners find the most beautiful gemstones and purest metals in our tunnels. Our work is well sought after and many travel outside our home territory to the other Eledhrim cities to set up shops for their craft. Though we don't like winter in the slightest. We're just not build for the cold.
We're also skilled climbers, rock-climbing being one of our favorite hobbies. It is a lot of fun and we can get around our home a lot easier. It also makes us ideal for search and rescue missions in and around gorges and caves.

Common Dress code
Most citizens go barefoot, high temperatures not bothering our feet, though some do wear sandels. Soldiers and Forgemasters wear protective boots. Body tight clothes are common and much less likely to catch fire. Both genders usually wear calf length pants and sleeveless tops. Most women wear their hair up. Men usually keep their hair short.

Beauty Ideals
Being of a society that dwells in an active volcano, eyes like fire are often desirable. Reds, oranges, yellows, on rare occasions blue. "Fire marks" birthmarks that resemble flames, are considered quite beautiful.
Gender Ideals
Typical beauty and ideals are often not as important. While we admire the eyes, often what most would consider marring scars they find beautiful. Men and women alike often have scars across their bodies, even their faces and in all cases we love them. They are marks of their skill, bravery and courage.
