Great Library Expansion Agreement

Overview

The Great Library Expansion Agreement was penned by the Great Librarian, Paz Wynen. Once she got the International Federation of Anthenaems and Analysis started, and the IFAA started organizing the Great Library at Winterborn, Paz wanted to figure out a way to share all the knowledge held in the Great Library without damaging the books, tomes, and scroll. She knew there were spells that would allow the works to be copied but how would she get all that knowledge in to the hands of the common people.   She spoke with her friend Tara Summers, the Duchess of Summerset, and they came up with a plan to put smaller libraries in each major city in Stronghaven. They approached Leon Winters, the Duke of Winterborn, first with the idea. He agreed to support their plan with the King if Winterborn received the second City Library after Summerset. Paz was overjoyed and started putting pen to paper and writing a proposal.   On Omi 22, 1787, Paz Wynen, Leon Winters, and Tara Summers approached King Gregoras Zabal V with their proposal for the City Libraries, one for each of the major seven cities in Stronghold. He agreed and Paz started writing the Great Library Expansion Agreement that each Duke of the each city would have to sign to have a library built in that city.   On Kosmer 1, 1788, the Duke of Summerset, signed the first Great Library Expansion Agreement, and they broke ground on the first City Library. It took six months to build the library building, and three months to lay the enchantments. Finally on Meni 37, 1788, the first City Library was open to the public.   Leon Winters, the Duke of Winterborn, signed the second Great Library Expansion Agreement, on Omi 1, 1788. The second City Library opened to the public on Qan 35, 1788. Two city libraries opened to the public each year until all seven City Libraries were open.   News travelled quickly after the libraries in Stronghaven opened.  Cities in other parts of Inanta approached King Gregoras Zabal V and the IFAA about building their own libraries.  King Zabal and the IFAA agreed for a fee.  This led to a smarter and more knowledgeable people as a whole, and the growth of magical and scientific discoveries.

Purpose

To create libraries in cities across Stronghave and eventually Inanta.
