Enoboya Species in Inanta | World Anvil

Enoboya

Overview

The Enoboya are found in the mountainous regions of Inanta. They are prized for their hairy fur, which can be used in potions, to make magical thread, and weaved into magical cloth.  A few citizens from Volary have domesticated the Enoboya and started breeding them for their fur.  They treat them like sheep and sheer them once a year. Enoboya fur is very expensive.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Enoboya are small, hairy, upright-walking, ape-like or humanoid creatures that live in mountainous regions.  They tend to run 2-3 feet tall and weigh between 100 to 200 lbs.  Their long-haired fur comes in black, brown, red, and white.  They have two arms and two legs.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Enoboya have both a male and female sex.  They reproduce through sexual intercourse.  Enoboya reach sexual maturity at approximately 5 years old.  Each female has four heats per year.  The heat cycle last for 100 days with each heat lasting 20-30 days at the end of the cycle, where she will attract the males of the species.  If she is impregnated during the heat, the pregnancy will last for approximately 80 days from ovulation.  Each pregnancy will produce one to three offspring, rarely more.  After a pregnancy, the female Enoboya will not start a heat cycle again until the Enoboya pups are weaned, usually 120 days.
