Caesar's Praetor at the time of Caesar's assassination, at the end of the Ninth Age.
Octavius's post-title, Yuintetius, means "Unkillable" in Imperine due to his numerous scrapes with death that he survived through apparent supernatural means.

Appius will often insert a joke after that describing Octavius's eyes as being full of fish poop, whale sperm, or something else humorous to deflect the sincerity of his affection.
