Immortal Genesis

Set in the heart of the capital city Avareon the story follows a young police cadet as she uncovers a grand conspiracy at the heart of the cities elite class.   A post human society in which even the poorest have basic enhancements. The rich, reffered to as the Deluxe reign over like a superior race seeing themselves as the homosapien to the common neanderthal. With cognitive, physical, social, and sensory enhancements they are like gods amongst men, they are smarter, faster, more durable and sometimes conceal hidden and highly restricted abilities.   As the post human era advances the ultra elite have become impatient and greedy. They are not satisfied with dominance over their fellow man what they demand is divinity. To become unkillable, to grow out a vast empire and shape the world as they see fit before casting their eyes further afield to the stars above.   This desire led to the formation of the most powerful non governmental organisation in the planet, Pantheon.   Pantheon is a business conglomerate formed of hundreds of companies spanning all across several industries from bio-medical research to nanotech engineering, industrial construction and private security. This organisation is the ultimate powerhouse with immense political and financial sway it is able to lobby governments, bribe officials, and silence those that who meddle in their business.   The company is a front for project Olympus. This project has the sole purpose of exploring and testing viable solutions to prevent death and create an immortal being. Still in the prototyping phase the project is still very experimental and exploring all possible avenues no matter how radical.   Subjects or "assets" as they are referred to are usually low income high risk individuals that have been abducted, trafficked, or tricked into becoming test subjects. There are some individuals from within the organisation itself that volunteer for such intense procedures but this is normally reserved for only the highest ranking and most trusted operatives as exposure of the organisation could prove disastrous and have wide spread implications.   Secrecy is the number one priority of this organisation. The people they target are known as ghosts, because of the transitional period of the time those who fall below the bread line must forgo even the most basic enhancements, this involves credit chips, location markers, authentication and ID. Because the entire city infrastructure relies on these basic implants these people fall off the grid and become essentially untraceable as they leave no data trail with their activities.
