The ancestral religion in Auster. Once the most prolific religion in The Empire. Since the rise of The Brotherhood of the Pure Kingdom it has faded from its former glory, but supporters can still be found all throughout the Empire.

The Light of the 9 has it's roots in ancient Auster.
Priesthood
The highest organizational rank in The Light of the 9 is the Ennead. The Ennead is an elected position in the church.
An Ennead will lead the church and is responsible for setting precedence on the interpretation of visions and holy texts.
Upon the removal or death of the current Ennead and election will be held to choose a new Ennead.
Each Ennead oversees a group of nine High Nonaries. In the eventuality of the need for a new Ennead these High Nonaries will elect one of themselves to be the new Ennead.
Below the High Nonaries, there are the Nonaries. These members of the church are mid-high level church members and are responsible for overseeing all the Novems in a given area. They are responsible for spreading the word of the Ennead and the High Nonaries across all of the Novems they oversee.
A Novem is usually the highest member present at a local Temple. Novem's are responsible for spreading the word of the 9 to the common people and to induct new members into the faith.
The lowest rank in the 9 is a Brother. A Brother is more than a practitioner, but lower than a Novem. Typically these Brothers serve their local temples assisting the Novem in their daily needs.
