Tarok

God of Civilization, Keeper of Balance, Father of Inventors

Tarok is the patron of cities and towns, the very embodiment of civilization, but he is also the god of balance and change.
Although Tarok is a lawful god, he doesn't oppose chaos, for this is also a form of change and a part of civilization. It should be shaped and tempered with rules but should not be challenged. His followers strive to further civilization wherever they go and travel the world looking for signs of change to report to the god.
Tarok is often depicted as an Arza man, holding a book and scales.

Tarok's teachings are as follows:
  • Don't oppose change, for it will make your civilization greater, but it should be tempered.
  • Tame nature inhabits unknown lands and seek out new ideas and inventions.
  • Respect tradition, law and authority.
