Magic

In both world religion and worship is different, common people will still worship multiple elements, gods or a combination thereof, but their knowledge of this matter is widely different. On Ianna the common people do not know the gods and their goals, they have placed their trust in the elements and ask for the blessings in various ways, a blacksmith will ask for the blessing of metal and fire, where a sailor will ask for the blessing of air and water for a safe and fast journey.   Knowledge of the kindred spirits is limited but generally seen as benign spirits better left alone.   Terria and blessing are interpreted by the clerics of the gods, the only knowledge they have comes from them, which might or might not be true and thus many clerics are seen as miracle workers even saints. The common folk worship many divine gods throughout their lives as they see fit, many patron gods of city or regions do hold a special place to those who live there. The elements are seen as tools that they can master and harness to do their bidding. While the kindred spirits are seen as lesser gods who walk the world, and only in desperate times should they be disturbed.

The Use of Magic

Magic can be found in both worlds, wizards use it to power the spells, cleric uses it to heal and treat the sick and injured with it. Where Ianna embraced the ways of magic, where magical items can be as common as finding a loaf of bread, while Terria had shunned it and eyed it with suspicions since the wyld created pockets of wild and death magic around the world called dwealmors.   Most magic falls in the arcane or divine categories, but many sub-schools of magic exist, one even more exotic than the other. Fine examples are is the Divine Elemental magic on Ianna and the Wild Magic School on Ianna.   Rumor even spread about dangerous blood magic, even magic derived for the dead magic dwealmors, canceling out any magical effect.
