Holidays and Festivals

Throughout the year many festivals and events are being held. Some to entertain the common folk and some to celebrate an event out of the past.

Drakon
  • 1st, Turning of the Year; celebrations of the new year, of in honor or themed after cycle.
  • 6th Fire Day; a day to honor the element of fire, often by huge bonfires in the town squares.
  • 11th, Inner Sea Race of Lyonesse; a race of merchant ships throughout the inner sea, each year the winner can claim its reward of 100,000 gp.
  • 28th, The Reading of The Bones (Neefa a day of silence while the high priest recites the names of those who died fighting for light in the world.
Cretan
  • 27th, Age of Becoming (Tarok enlisting day for the town or city guard, said to be the day when Tarok took up arm in protection of civilization.
  • 20th, Earth Day; a prayer to the element of earth to bring and fruitful harvest.
Pontos
  • 13th, Festival of Fortuna; a day of luck and chance. A busy day for gamblers and those who like a bet often linked to the goddess Leticia but also Enialis and Gabal.
  • 6th Air Day; cleaning day to bring fresh air into once house and sell and throw out the old stuff.
Crux
  • 11th Mag Mell Summer Fair; the celebration in honor of the summer solstice, last for three days until High Summer.
  • 14th High Summer; the summer solstice;
  • 26th Forge Hammer (Mardimor crafters fest where guild takes on each other in games and sport to declare one guild “high guild” for a year.
Regor
  • 12th, Fest of The Wyld (Demari a ritual held each year by the elves of the Azureglade, to protect their ancient forests. Although outsiders are permitted during the celebrations, the rituals held outside the view of anyone. The last 2 days to complete the ritual.
  • 13th, Thunder Day; during this time, the height of the storm season, thunders power is invoked to calm the storms.
Ankaa
  • 15th, Harvest Fest of Umar (Enialis a great market in Umar to celebrate a new harvest for the winter, this fest is the entertainment the common people, and praise the gods and spirits for the harvest. On the market you can find a lot of merchants selling the wares (food, craft tools, and common household items), jesters and bards are also to be found to earn a pretty coin. Last 5 days.
  • 20th, Water Day; a blessings day with to passing of the storm season and the coming the autumn rain.
Spica
  • 12th, Autumns Dance (Leticia a day of dance and song, where the bard and entertainer perform for free to entertain the crowds and honor the goddess of dance and music.
  • 14th, Wood Day; in the middle of the autumn wood day is celebrated as the leaves fall from the trees, a day of reflection on that life has a beginning and an end.
Kotka
  • 4th, Aether Day; a day to honor the dead, the ancestors and those who have passed into the worlds beyond.
  • 25th, Mage Fair of Mag Mell (Xeal the largest and only mage fair of Terria. Said to be the Xeal created the first magic tome and gave it to the world. Last for 3 days.
Lupus
  • 1st, Radiant Day (Ionia the first day of winter where the world will be covered in a coat of snow and ice, a day of beauty.
  • 15th, Wintersnight; the beginning of the winter season. Remembrances of the dead and one's ancestors were made during this feast. 
Serpens
  • 14th, Mid-Winter Fest (Spirits a celebration of both worlds to honor the Kindred Spirit and the Winter Solstice. A day and night where people try to scare each other with the use of masks.
  • 14th, Snowfall; Mid-winters day.
  • 23rd, Winters Hunters Game of Bloodstone (Gabal every year the barbarian tribes around Bloodstone gather for a single event, the Winter Hunters Game, wherein each hunter who participates gets one week to bring in a trophy under the harshest of conditions.
Naos
  • 3rd, the Conjunction; celebrated and feared event that happens every 7 years. All the planet aligns, and effects are unpredictable, to say the least.
  • 27th, Metal Day; a warrior's day to tell stories of their exploits and feats of strength, and of course a lot of bragging and brawls.
Dios
  • 1st, Dragons Fire (Crimrogan to honor the flame of the dragon that melt the winter away and welcome a new spring.
  • 8th, Hag's Night (Srytri a dark and moonless night where the minions of Srytri come out of the shadows the feast.
