Orcish Nomads
In the south live a free nomadic tribe of Orcish descent. Slightly nimbler, but still towering tall above the smaller races, these orcs desire freedom above all else. Initial scouts sent to negotiate with them were sent back either terrified, or in bags. The human population has deemed the orcs hostile, but has no current military plans beyond patrols and scouting.
The Orcen tribe has lived on Ilrut for as long as their annals go back. Their culture is based around the gods of the hunt, the Orc Siblings Krelg and Frump, The Brother and The Sister respectively. They rode cavebears into battle, which they have taken as their kin. They are known as the Umberclaw Tribe. Bears and orcs live in harmony in small settlements on the plains. They are governed by either an orc or an intelligent cavebear, and the language they both speak is Bearic.

Coming of Age Rites
A graduation ritual for a young orc or bear is to beat one another in unarmed combat. The higher rank they are born in, the stronger their opponents and the higher the stakes. Orc children of chieftans are matched against the most powerful of bears, the Umber Cavebears. The bears are typically stronger, but the orcs are faster and it often proves to be a fair fight. Every few generations a trial is completed through diplomacy rather than battle, when a druidic Orc instills a sense of peace and calm into his bear opponent. The bear and orc will henceforth hold a respected position as a new chief and his trusted animal companion. They are ambassadors between bear and Orc, and together they set out to found a new settlement, bringing with them a few followers.

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
The orcs all have short trimmed hair that covers most of their bodies that symbolize the bond with bears. Bears are often decorated with small cloth garments that do not restrict movement.
Courtship Ideals
The best way to court here is to be victorious in a bear jousting match. Both the bears and orcs are celebrated and respected when they win the tournaments. The jousting is without weapons, and it is mostly a complicated wrestling match of agility and dexterity, where bear fights bear and orc fights orc. The first of either to be overpowered causes that team to lose, and to the victorious team go the revels, and affections. Lower ranked inhabitants can court other lower ranked orcs or bears in more traditional ways, but for the higher ranked orcs or bears jousting is the best way to go.
