New Antuki
The Ishtairan Empire of New Antuki is situated in modern day middle East, it was first founded in the ancient city of Petra, which later was made as the base of operations for the New Ishtarian Army – the Emuna Elish. It is also the home of the new palace of the Ishtarian Empire, and home to its empress, Mu’Pheles Achaemenes Kurus. However, as of now she has taken up the moniker of "Cyrus", and hides her identity under a golden mask under the alias of a great king from both her homeworld, and the new world. It is the product of many united cultures from near and far, some of which have been transported with its new people from their homeworld whilst others have been rediscovered and developed from the historical culture that was left behind over the many thousands of years the region had been inhabited prior to the societal and economic collapse some century ago.
The region itself consists of a majority of the middle east, being the former countries of Cyprus, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. Now being under the central banner of the Ishtarian Empire, the region has since been repopulated and many of the old towns and villages are once again full of life and activity. Given that the Native Ishtarian’s are used to the arid climates and desert-like terrain of the region, they have taken to it rather easily, and have since restored many of its facets whilst also retaining much of the ancient culture.
Though it has only been a few years since the empire first stepped foot in the new world, they have quickly taken over the entire region and restored much of its old cities. Among this, they have also rekindled much of the lost wealth and revived the long dead economy, bringing their own wealth and currencies into the new world in order to fuel it further. Along with repopulating the ancient land, they have also built their own newer cities above those that were unable to be restored, or lands that were previously uninhabited. One of Ishtaria’s strongest facets is its trade, having littered the sealine with towns and cities all over, sparkling with ivory and gold that tower over the desert sands and hot winds.
Despite what many believe about Ishtaria being a war-mongering country that seeks to conquer all, they are also ones who deeply respect the land and its history. Because of this, they have since refounded many of the lost ancient cities and are looking to find more and slowly rebuild them. So far, they have only managed to unearth and fully replenish Petra and a few other historical sites but given they have covered much of the Middle East with settlements, they are already underway to exploring more of the region and rebuilding its lost history. One of their current projects is the ancient site of the Gobekli Tepe, and ancient ritual site in Turkey.
