The Centaur Cook Book

The Centaurs are largely forgotten about in the modern world due to their ability to stay under the radar. However in 2098 a book containing over 500 recipes from the Centaur cuisine surfaced. Since then it has become the best selling cookbook of all time and now the world knows more about Centaurs then they ever have.

Purpose

The purpose of the book, so says the subtext on the inner cover, is to convey a feeling of emotions and understanding for the Centaur culture. Following each recipe in the book is a written story from a different member of the Centaur population giving a first hand look and experience with the meal the reader is preparing.

The book is set up into 5 sections, breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and appetizers in that order. It goes with the culture of the Centaur's to have to search for their food themselves and as such have chosen to make the page numbers meaningless. You better save your spot on the page because it will be hard to find later.

Some other cookbooks that have taken stabs at Centaur cuisine are referenced through the book only to be slandered and found not only inadequate but inaccurate as well.

Historical Details

Background

This book does little to mend any harsh relationships between Centaurs and the outside world but it does shine a light into their psyche that is quite eye opening for most who read the passages.

Public Reaction

For the entire year after the book came out it was a huge seller. The world was buzzing over it so much so that the book sold lots and could be found in most houses. It received a verbal review from a famous book reviewer and several written reviews from holonet reviewers as well.

Legacy

Since the creation a plethora of people have tried to reach out to the Centaurs in an attempt to meet some of the people who wrote passages within the book and pick their brain, to little or no avail.
