Cause and effect. When one seeks to make sense of their lives, one often looks to cause and effect. They may dress it up in varying levels of delusion and hyperbole, or they may choose to look at it naked in the harsh light of day. It is fate which guides the hand of man? Is the universe run by an underlying order? Is there a grand plan set in motion by all knowing and all power beings? Or is everything that happens simply random? Does the universe care about what happens to us as a species or are we no more important than each individual atom that makes up our existence?   Or is the reality much more nuanced than that? Or is nuance merely the shield that cowards hide behind who are too afraid to stare into the abyss? There are moments, strings of instances carefully arranged like popcorn along a string during the holidays. Sometimes these strings abide by what we believe are the rules. Cause and then effect; however, string is all too easy prey for malignancy and the tangles which render it into difficult to straight snarls. Cause. Effect. Formless and free floating in the filament, floundering and unable to find terra firma.   Let us speak of time, of beginnings and endings, of middling middles and malformed moments. Let us speak of the stories than make up lifetimes. Worry not, we have no time here and thus all the time in forever.
