Government

A King is chosen by Trial of Combat. For a new King to be chosen people must step forward and battle Fonias, the Celestial of War, and the Immortal Protector of Sparta. The challenger must battle until Fonias stops the challenge, deeming them as a worthy fighter or until they die.

History

Lacedaemon was a king of Laconia. The son of Zeus by the nymph Taygete, he married Sparta, the daughter of Eurotas, by whom he became the father of Amyclas, Eurydice, and Asine. He named the country after himself and the city after his wife.
