Dragonborn

They are the result of magic interfering in the natural birth of Dragons. When Magic "modifies" a dragon egg the result is usually a Dragonborn. The first time this happened it had been when the Feywild had been born, a very primitive form of Dragonborn came to be from it. But nowadays such an occurrence is unheard of. The current form of the Race started being born around the time of the Bronze Age, where modified eggs had grown stable and were able to produce healthy Dragonborn.
The effect of the magic wipes the common alignment related to a dragon's scale color. As such chromatic Dragonborn don't feel a compulsion to act in a manner that people would consider evil. And vice-versa, metallic Dragonborn are not inclined to good any more than a normal human would be. As such the end results of a Dragonborn's personality is a matter of personal decisions as well as their circumstances.
Demigods born from Dragonborn have not existed, however they are often chosen to become Aasimar.
