The Legend of the Dreadbourne

Believed to not exist by many, Dreadbourne is a flying city wrapped in mystery. Formed after the War of the Divine as a place for refugees, it is like walking into a world from 900 years ago, if you can find it. As the entire city is refugees, if found by the wrong people, the entire population would be prosecuted, tortured, and killed. As such, Dreadbourne does not disclose its location, staying in constant movement, following irregular patterns, most who find Dreadbourne stumble upon it. Those who do come across Dreadbourne are kept under close watch to see their intent, restricted access, and usually, under constant guard (whether they are aware or not), their actions are closely monitored. Who the speak with, what the speak of is all taken down and reported back to the high council.

Those who live on Dreadbourne follow the original class system, magic users above others. No one on the ship is of human descent. You are born, live, and die on Dreadbourne, out of fear, no one leaves, out of secrecy, no one comes. The culture has been kept exactly the same as it was 900 years ago, laws, clothing, and social decorum are drastically different from that of Iedar Tegon today. After the War of the Divine, magic users, and elves particularly along with a few other races, became the lowest class elsewhere. Cast out of cities, and rejected by family, many of these persecuted races use the idea of Dreadbourne as a beacon of hope, one day hoping to seek it out and live for themselves, free of the rules created by the now human society. Many never find Dreadbourne, leading the whole of Iedar Tegon to believe it to be just a myth created by the low-class races as a promise of security.
