Izgardril
Infrastructure
Most of the buildings seen in Izgardril are very haphazard. Using lots of random materials, they are fashioned together using straw, rocks, and bits of metal found in the area. The further North in the city the more natural materials are used in building due to the geography of Upper Ukish.
The main difference between the capital and the rest of Ukish is the size. Due to the structural integrity of the buildings, everything can only be single level, causing growth outwards. Sprawling over a great portion of the desert, the center has the larger buildings for big name merchants as protection. Even though there is a strict penalty on violence, there is a small guarded area in the city for travelers to feel safe as they pass through.
Districts
Any attempt to have a strict district system in Izgardril is very difficult, as it expands outwards often times new pockets develop outside their designated zone. Generally, travelers, big name merchants, and higher quality goods can be found closer to the center. There are two main points of entry, North and South, at each there is a large stable collection for horses, wagons, and cheap lodging. The next ring in is mainly smaller merchants or tradesmen (quartermaster, builders, tanneries, potters, etc) that are local to Ukish.
Ukish has two distinct landscapes, to the South it is very rocky and desert like, while to the North it is full of large crevices and is more of a savanahh environment. This is reflected in Izgardril's culture and types of shops. The North has more access to wood and other standard building materials, crops, and animals. Therefore this is where people go to aquire natural materials. Where the South is more known for craftsmen and trade goods.
