Ichorya

Long ago, Lord Malavar ruled over Ichorya, terrorizing its people for centuries. Lord Malavar used dark magic to create an incorporeal army of shadows and to siphon power from the gods. He sat upon a golden throne at the center of the land in a castle built and defended by his shadow army. His rule lasted for five hundred years until his people, scared for their lives, assembled a team capable of defeating the shadow army and slaying Lord Malavar. This group became known as the Warriors of Light.   Lord Malavar was driven back into his castle, where he took his final stand... and his final breath.   With his death, the warriors had finally brought peace to the land for the first time in five hundred years. They decided to split the land among the eight of them, so that no one individual may gain too much power. Dengrumin Brightrock claimed his homeland upon Mount Karazic for the dwarves. Sylvanos Aetheria claimed the sacred woods for her people, the Elves. Next Sir Henry Crowswell claimed the southern end of Ichorya for the Humans. Mudu Montgomery and Sadira Blackmoss split the hills between the Halflings and the Gnomes. Mother Thaenor Claimed her land as the holy land of the Dragonborn and Sirvius the Immutable claimed the land surrounding his manor for the Tieflings. Lastly, Raven Thunderfall claimed the northern land for all of the people of Ichorya.   This plan of separating power has worked for over a thousand years. A few have tried gaining power, however they have always been stopped before they can instill any kind of tyrannical rule in Ichorya. This, however, is a balance that is being tested, as many of the kingdoms fear that war may soon be on the horizon.
